ബര്‍ലിന്‍: ക്രിസ്മസ് മാര്‍ക്കറ്റ് ആക്രമണത്തിന് ശേഷം ഒരുമിച്ച് നില്‍ക്കാന്‍ ജര്‍മ്മന്‍കാരോട് പ്രസിഡന്റ് ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തു.ബര്‍ലിനിലെ ബെല്‍വ്യൂ പാലസില്‍ തന്റെ വാര്‍ഷിക ക്രിസ്മസ് പ്രസംഗത്തില്‍ മെഴുകുതിരി കത്തിച്ചുകൊണ്ട് ജര്‍മ്മന്‍ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ഫ്രാങ്ക്~വാള്‍ട്ടര്‍ സ്റെറയ്ന്‍മെയര്‍ ആശംസകള്‍ നേര്‍ന്നു.

കിഴക്കന്‍ നഗരമായ മാഗ്ഡെബര്‍ഗില്‍ നടന്ന ക്രൂരമായ ആക്രമണത്തില്‍ അഞ്ച് പേര്‍ കൊല്ലപ്പെടുകയും 200~ലധികം പേര്‍ക്ക് പരിക്കേല്‍ക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. സുരക്ഷയെയും കുടിയേറ്റത്തെയും കുറിച്ചുള്ള ചര്‍ച്ച വീണ്ടും കത്തിപ്പടരുമ്പോള്‍ അദ്ദേഹം ദേശീയ ഐക്യത്തിന് ആഹ്വാനം ചെയ്തു. വിദ്വേഷവും അക്രമവും അവസാന വാക്ക് ആയിരിക്കരുത്. നമ്മെത്തന്നെ വേര്‍പെടുത്താന്‍ അനുവദിക്കരുത്. നമുക്ക് ഒരുമിച്ച് നില്‍ക്കാം എന്നും സൈ്ററന്‍മയര്‍ കൂട്ടിച്ചേര്‍ത്തു.

തീവ്ര വലതുപക്ഷ ആള്‍ട്ടര്‍നേറ്റീവ് ഫോര്‍ ജര്‍മ്മനി (AfD) മാഗ്ഡെബര്‍ഗില്‍ ഇരകള്‍ക്കായി ഒരു അനുസ്മരണ റാലി സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചതിന് ഒരു ദിവസത്തിന് ശേഷമാണ് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രസംഗം.
